ASSESMENT OF INVENTORIES IN PULP AND PAPER INDUSTRY
 
Background. Self-made inventories constitute a significant share of the stock of all inventories in pulp and paper mills. Therefore indicators of operations and financial condition of an enterprise depend on the correct choice of method and recording. National standards provisions do not fully reveal the gist of assessment of own made inventories, including: work in progress, flaw and reverse waste.
The purpose of the study is to establish problems of inventory assessment made by themselves; define features of inventory evaluation made by themselves on millers of pulp and paper industry; determine the order of evaluation of finished goods, work in progress, flaw and return waste.
Results. In the article the features and ways to improve the assessment of self-made inventories in pulp and paper mills are considered. It is established that the assessment of self-made inventories is essential to the reliability of the calculation of production costs, product costing and determine the financial results. So the author has determined order of assessment of finished products and unfinished production according to Provisions of Accounting Standards 9 "Inventories". It has been proposed to determine the market value of work in progress. It is proved that in order to reliably determine the actual balances of work in progress, cost of finished goods inventory inventory of work in progress should be conducted.
Conclusion. Procedure of quantitative and cost assessment of assets work in progress is determined during their inventory. Also the need to assess flaw products depending on its kind has been identified. The proposal concerning assessment of reverse waste to pulp and paper industry has been made.
