The article considers the basic factors of influence on activity of intermediary on the market of consumer goods which determine their subsequent transformation and place in competitive environment. There have been researched the basic requirements of intermediation services consumers (manufacturers and retail enterprises) to trade intermediaries. The system of indices for determination of intermediation’s competitiveness on the consumer goods market is offered.
